LG G PAD 7.0 REVIEW

LG G PAD 7.0 REVIEW

The Android powered LG G Pad 7.0 is famous for its price tag and satisfactory specs. Who would want to miss such an affordable tablet with decent performance and stats?

It runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat with LG’s Optimus software on top. A vivid 7 inch 1280×800 screen, excellent audio quality and an outstanding battery life is all it provides at a reasonable rate of around $150. The G Pad comes with 8GB internal memory which can be expanded to 32GB with a micro SD card.

Apart from the standard apps, this tablet provides interesting apps like the Qpair that helps you sync your Android mobile with the pad, QuickRemote that turns your pad into a programmable remote for your TV and cable boxes and QuickMemo+ where you can save reminders, weather and location data. The Optimus skin introduces unique changes to the Android user interface. The pad boasts a pretty perfect color accuracy and saturation, although its color spectrum is comparatively limited.

The split screen mode allows you to work on two windows simultaneously and is an added advantage. LG has provided certain additional changes like the fourth virtual menu button at the bottom right corner, QSlide bar in the notifications drawer which helps in launching select apps and KnockOn that wakes up the tablet when you tap the display twice.

LG Pad 7.0 will be equipped with LG’s signature security feature, LG Knock Code ™, a new way of waking and unlocking mobile devices

That one factor causing disappointment is the camera quality. Images are grainy without much detail, especially in the close-up pictures. On the positive side, it has got epic battery life that beats all its competition. So if you wante one long-lasting Android tablet, this one seems a fine choice!

MOTOROLA DROID TURBO REVIEW

MOTOROLA DROID TURBO

The new XLTE-ready Motorola Droid Turbo is a monster smartphone that combines power, durability, intelligence and affordability. Okay, so the leaks beat us all, giving us some of the best looks ever (or should we say sneak-peek?) into the manufacturer’s latest offering- Motorola Droid Turbo. Oh it looks as tough as the name, that’s for sure. It in fact looks absolutely burly, effortlessly stealing the spotlight as one Motorola’s most powerful devices yet.

The display is going to be stellar, thanks to the colossal 5.2-inch QHD 2560 x 1440 touch screen. DROID Turbo has a 21-megapixel camera with 4K video capture and features a 5.2-inch Quad HD display meaning you will want to show off your photography to friends any chance you can whether it be in person or on social media. The interface is going to be (no prizes for guessing) Android, but the configurations put up a mean show with the QualComm Snapdragon 805 chipset with a 2.65GHz quad-core CPU.

The DROID Turbo is designed with all that in mind with its Ballistic Nylon or Metalized Glass Fiber reinforced with DuPont™ Kevlar® fiber, scratch-resistant Corning® Gorilla® Glass 3, and water-repellent nanocoating protecting the inside and out against spills. That means your phone is not going to go into deep pondering every five minutes. The working is going to be butter-smooth, with absolutely no signs of lags or crashes. Sounds like a dream, doesn’t it?

The 3GB RAM further asserts the smoothness of the functionality with a go-getter memory. Even the storage is eye candy- 32GB. It’s almost always advisable to have a little more storage (in this case the little is crossed out) than what you might actually need, because you never know when you’ll need all the space. The massive 3900mAh battery is certain to make sure that a significant level of juice remains in the tank even after a marathon of multimedia, gaming and working.

But here’s the real kicker- the Droid Turbo’s Camera. It’s alleged to have a staggering 21MP rear shooter with dual-LED flash, meaning that your selfies are going to win the clarity game effortlessly, with pin-sharp focus and glorious lighting.

That “low battery” alert is something many of us dread, and it usually happens at the worst times. DROID Turbo has a battery that lasts up to 48 hours, so that means it’ll be a while before you see that low battery alert.

Eventually, the alert will appear,   but it might be at a time when you don’t have the time to do a full charge of your phone. Only having a few minutes before heading out with friends, layovers in between flights, and many other countless scenarios – we’ve all been there.

The new DROID comes with a turbo charging feature so when you’re low on battery, a 15 minute charge can get you up to 8 hours of use. DROID Turbo comes with the Motorola turbo power charger in the box at no additional cost. And for added convenience, the new DROID is wireless charging capable.

So what does a tough phone require? Yeah, tougher protection. The Droid Turbo takes care of this too, packing a scratch-resistant metallized glass fibre body along with a Gorilla Glass 3 screen and a Kevlar-reinforced back panel, meaning it’s going to strike a chord with those butterfingers out there too. It’s also alleged that the Droid Turbo is splash-proof, meaning it’ll be able to combat 20 minutes of downpour. Wow.

So let’s wait for the real deal while we obsess over leaked pictures. Fingers crossed!

GOOGLE PROJECT ARA

GOOGLE PROJECT ARA

A smartphone exclusively for six billion people. That’s what Google declares, as it continues work on what might be a revolutionary milestone in the journey of smartphones. The manner in which smartphones are assembled, designed, and used is about to undergo a huge overhaul if Google succeeds in making this “modular” mobile phone a feasible reality.

Project Ara is the codename for a venture by Google aiming to build a free, open hardware platform for creating highly modular smartphones that are assembled into metal endoskeletal frames (endos). These metal frames are the only components in the smartphone that is going to be manufactured by Google, acting as the switch to the on-device network linking all the modules together. The modules are going to be completely according to the choice of the user, for instance, a keyboard, display or an extra battery. This project seeks to significantly reduce electronic waste and ensure a longer life span for the handsets by enabling users to swap out malfunctioning modules or upgrade individual modules as innovations emerge.

GOOGLE PROJECT ARA components

Google’s target market for Project Ara encompasses not just 1 billion smartphone users but also the 5 billion feature phone users, paving the way for the entry of hundreds of thousands of developers and not just a handful of big players; anyone will be able to build a module without having to require a licence or paying fee. Modules can provide the usual smartphone utilities like camera, speakers, etc. and also more specialized features, and are secured with electropermanent magnets.

Google intends to sell a starter kit with billed materials worth $50 and comprising of a frame, display, battery, low-end CPU and Wi-Fi. The frames come in three sizes- mini (45 x 118 x 9.7 mm), medium (68 x 141 x 9.7 mm) and large (91 x 164 x 9.7 mm) with rear module slots of 2 x 5, 3 x 6 and 4 x 7 respectively. Each one of these frames is expected to cost around $15.

Now let’s sit back and watch a revolution unfold.

Apple iPhone 6 Plus review

Apple iPhone 6 Plus:

The iPhone 6 Plus is a 5.5” Retina HD giant iPhone that stunned us all; with the biggest redesign since the iPhone history and entry in the phablet world, big screens is the new trend.

Display:

The phone is big, but that’s the whole point of the iPhone 6 Plus; so the display is all that you really need to know about. It boasts of a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 and also a 401 PPi, so it’s an effortless winner when it comes to clarity. Also, should a crowd gather around the screen, everyone can still have a great visual experience because the LED-backlit display has remarkable viewing angles, courtesy dual-domain pixels of Apple. The display has everything that smartphone users seek for. Smooth, captivating mobile experience- legibility in both bright and dull conditions, combating reflection, as well as tilt-adaptability. Also, this handset brought home the title of having ‘the best performing smartphone LCD display ever.”

Reachability:

Apple seeks to prove with this phone that size and ease are not inversely related. The usual navigation which involved exiting an app (home button) and opening a new one (top tap) was not that fussy in its previous models, but the very same operations require some big time hand-shuffling in this. But Apple attempts to nullify this drawback by introducing ‘Reachability’, where a double tap on the home key would bring the top portion of the display to the middle. But this feels unpleasant, almost looks like there’s a glitch in the system, thanks to the big black block in the void which could have been put to better use. Think multi-window.

Design and performance:

Measuring 158.11mm x 77.8mm x 7.1mm, it weighs 172g even though it looks impossibly thin. It’s undisputedly the best-looking phablet available, as it radiates class and style. The grip isn’t that great owing to the flat, brushed metal rear. The Sapphire crystal glass is a terrific shield for any breakages. The 8MP rear camera comes with just a handful of options, keeping it clutter-free. This is exactly what many look for- take superb images with little fuss. It also has a 1.2MP front HD clicker.

The M8 motion coprocessor can continuously measure your motion data from the accelerometer, gyroscope, compass and the new barometer, even when the device is asleep, saving battery life for fitness apps that use the sensors all day. The motion data from M8 appears in the Health app so you can see how many flights of stairs you’ve climbed, or how far you’ve walked or run.

iPhone 6 Plus users will also benefit from optical image stabilisation technology that compensates for hand shake in low light andiSight camera gets even better with a new sensor featuring Focus Pixels for faster autofocus, making it easier to quickly capture any moment.

Sony QX1 review

Sony QX1

Sony’s QX1 and QX10 digital cameras introduced a new and reasonably unusual idea into the marketplace. They seem similar lenses that you would fit onto a camera body, but they actually make a sensor stacked in. They’re fashioned to seize to your smartphone and communicate with it wirelessly, meaningful that the phone book as the camera’s covering to create your somebody.

QX1_phone_up_RGB_LR

It seems similar a crazy conception, but apparently they established general enough for Sony to screw it one-step further and display the QX1. Here we soul an APS-C sorted sensor and an E-mount so that you can interchange the lenses on the object.

That device is a 20.1 million element back-illuminated CMOS emblem, the homophonic benign as constitute in Sony’s compass of succinct group cameras. There’s also a Bionz X processor – the associate’s most advanced and also pioneer in top-of-the-line cameras such as the A7R.

Sony QX1

To covenant with your phone there’s built-in Wi-Fi and an NFC splintering. Images may be transferred to the phone or stored on a Micro SD roster installed in the Sony QX1. Different preceding cameras in the QX straddle, the camera can now administer in raw initialize. This agency that photographers retain greater skillfulness over images in post-production than before.

Using a fire from the E-mount method, Sony claims that the QX1 is open of actuation around 440 shots from a exclusive criminate. As you’re relying on your sound to control the camera, it’s couturier noting that your phone’s shelling story is also something to endure into benignity. You can engrossment and inclose with the Sony QX1 independently of a phone, but you won’t be healthy to see what you’re photographing.

Controls

Controlling the camera is achieved via the Sony PlayMemories app – a released download for both iOS and Robot. There’s a twain of remaining third-party apps which consent you to use the camera with them, but with most of the touristed ones, such as Instagram, you can’t.

The PlayMemories app brings a number of incompatible shooting modes, but crucially stuffed drill restrain isn’t lendable. Aperture antecedence and shutter antecedence are though, if you essential to bed the age of moderate yourself. ISO sentience ranges from ISO 100 – 16,000. You can set this yourself in semi-automatic modes, if you equal.

Shutter speeds of 1/4000ths of a merchandise to 30 seconds are lendable – there is no bulb way if you poverty anything soul than 30 seconds though. A circumscribe of divergent unintegrated placement settings are procurable.

Video

Recording recording is also open at brimful 1080p and 30fps. A built-in pic microphone captures undamaged. A built-in twinkling is included, with a run periodical of quaternion – there’s no way to add more accessories, specified as an foreign blink or viewfinder. Endless actuation of up to 3.5fps (for up to 15 shots) is getable.

HTC Desire Eye

HTC Desire Eye

This phone is perfect for all those selfie-obsessed people and has put the camera at the absolute forefront. It has the same 13MP camera lens on the front as well as the back, and the whopping front camera is the first thing you would notice. Bad selfies are now a thing of the past!

HTC Desire Eye 2

The design and build quality is darn impressive, in its smooth plastic curves and colorful trim, though it looks like the Desire 820. The visual changes are in the front-facing legendary speakers that now appear above and below the 5.2inch (1080×1920) Full HD screen in thin recessed speaker grills. Noise cancellation system and three microphones are packed in the Desire Eye.

There is a dedicated shutter button present below the power button on the right, and the phone comes with IPX7 rating so that you can shoot pics under water. Isn’t that cool? The back panel is made of plastic and the battery is non-removable. There are little covers over the nano SIM or micro SD slots that are unusually hinged, and we assume it’s needed due to the water resistance. HTC’s efforts in keeping the camera lenses flush, that is not sticking out absurdly is well lauded and options like photo booth, Crop-Me In, and Split Capture modes are a great boost that can give you surprisingly hilarious results. The modes are supported with video recording too, but may not be that versatile.

Beyond the camera section, there’s not really too much to report about the Desire Eye that you haven’t seen before. This phone is not far from a flagship internally!

The HTC Desire EYE is one of the best front-facing cameras available on the market today, and software that puts you center frame and looking your best. The HTC Desire EYE captures life’s big and small moments in perfect clarity. Sporting market-leading 13MP front and rear cameras for detailed image quality that allows you to zoom, crop and print without compromise, the    HTC Desire EYE is fully equipped for those who love to take great photos, videos and selfies. BSI sensors capture crisp photos, even in low-light conditions, and intelligent dual-LED flash on both cameras provides flattering, natural tones when ambient light levels drop further.

Three dedicated microphones take HTC’s signature audio quality to even greater heights, ensuring crystal clear voice and video calling whatever is going on around you.

HTC BoomSoundand a stunning 5.2” Full HD display combine to make the HTC Desire EYE the ultimate multimedia companion and the perfect way to view your photos and videos.

TESLA MODEL S REVIEW

TESLA MODEL S

The Tesla Model S is an all luxury electric car. It is the first creation of its kind from the electric car stable of PayPal creator Elon Musk. It is unlike anything we have seen before.

It has an aluminum and steel monologue and is an intensely stylish car from the outside. Beneath the cabin floor is the battery pack and its torsion rigidity is due to its sub frame. There are three battery options to choose from. They are the 60kWh pack, 85kWh pack and an 85kWh performance pack. To increase the complexity, there is a Performance Plus pack which is used to modify the air suspension. This pack comes with up rated dampers, anti roll bars, bushings, and 20 mm wide rear tires.

model-s-photo-gallery-14

Tesla Model S’s interior is quite sophisticated. There is a huge touch screen in the center of the fascia that is used to control almost everything, from the air conditioning to the preferred ride height of the air suspension. You can also get information about the battery charge and the energy consumption. For the music system, there is an AM/FM/DAB turner but no CD player. The radio provides access to internet radio and the audio quality is good. There are however a few setbacks. The material quality could have been better. Seats can be more supportive and storage, a bit more spacious.   On the whole the interior is comfortable and stylish.

This is a practical real-world range model with a perfect sense of class and opulence. Although it faces some steering inconsistencies and has bad charging time, it is refined and is this model is a triumph.

RHD TESLA MODEL S IN THE UK

Tesla Model S is an uncompromised electric car that delivers 502 kilometres of range on a single charge. With a 17-inch touchscreen, an outstanding safety record, and an acceleration of 0-100 km/h in 4.4 seconds, the fully electric Model S breaks the mould. Tesla is committed to giving customers the best possible Tesla Model S experience no matter where they live. With that in mind, the company has completed a country-specific validation programme to ensure the vehicles are optimised for every market in which they are sold. Right hand drive cars in the UK come with software specific to the country and a configuration that fits the needs of owners who drive on the left hand side of the road. Everything from the wipers to the braces in the front trunk have been re-fitted for RHD.

FIRST UK SUPERCHARGER

Tesla also energised the first Supercharger location in the UK at the delivery event. The Crystal site at London’s Royal Victoria Docks represents the beginning of a route to Paris and then the rest of Europe, which will enable Tesla Model S drivers to travel long distances in the UK and on the continent for free.

“Superchargers enable long distance travel but also, in a city where off street parking is rare and expensive, Model S customers will be able to access a network of Superchargers across London to charge, quickly and for free, at their convenience,” said Elon Musk. “We are looking at locations across the capital to place our first set of inner city Superchargers. Our plan for routes to other cities in the UK is still on target for the end of the year, but we are also announcing this new initiative in order to best serve our London-based customers. We expect customers to be able to travel the length of the UK for free using our Superchargers within the next 18 months”

NOKIA LUMIA 930 REVIEW

NOKIA LUMIA 930

Nokia Lumia 930 is a well constructed Smartphone and it has a well built design. This is the first product to have been launched since Microsoft’s buyout of Nokia’s mobile division. Lumia 930 is bright with vibrant colors. It has a square chunky body and at 9.8 mm thick, it is thicker than the Samsung Galaxy S5. Although it’s slightly elevated back sits nicely in the palm, users felt that it was one of the less comfortable phones to hold during their review.

The button and port layout is standard. The right edge is adorned by the volume control, on/off button and a camera button. The headphone jack is located at the top with a nano SIM card slot next to it and the micro USB charging port at the lower end below the touch keys. Unlike its predecessor 925, the 930 does not have expandable memory.

The screen is a 5-inch full HD AMOLED display. It is made of 441 ppi (pixels per inch) pixel density that is armored with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. There is a set of comprehensive display settings by which you can adjust your screen’s color profile. The advanced settings houses options such as tinkering with color temperature, tint and color saturation. Screen brightness can also be adjusted in the Battery Saver mode. You also have the option of switching on the sunlight readability mode. The display is good, but it does not match the LG G3 or Samsung Galaxy S5. Another setback is that it does not have HDR camera mode. Apart from that, it is not a bad choice for those Nokia users out there. The camera works well in low light and the phone has a good collection of Nokia apps.

KEY FEATURES OF NOKIA LUMIA 930

MICROSOFT SURFACE PRO 3 REVIEW

SURFACE PRO 3

Microsoft is definitely onto something with its Surface Pro 3. Microsoft’s vision was to make the ultimate mobile computing device that can potentially replace the laptops with a tablet first approach. The result of that vision is Surface Pro 3. It is closer than any laptop-tablet hybrid that is released.

The touch screen is 12 inches wide with a pixel count of 2160 x 1440. Unlike the Pro 2 that has an aspect ratio of 16:9, the Pro 3 has been designed with an aspect ratio of 3:2. This implies that this 12-inch screen can display more content than MacBook Air’s 13.3 inch panel at 16:10 ratio. This also makes the tablet feel more like a notepad when held in the portrait orientation. The top is made of a sharp silver colored magnesium shell that looks rich. It’s cool and smooth to touch and is thinner and lighter than its predecessors. The home button can be found on the left side of the device. There are 5MP cameras on both sides of the Pro 3 that can be used for 1080p video recording.

Obviously, a tablet without keyboard is not much of a replacement for a laptop. The keyboard can be attached to the tablet with a powerful magnet that latches on to the Pro 3’s lower bezel. This allows the Type Cover to rest with just a portion of it touching your lap or a desk. This makes writing on the lap much easier. Also, the cover is available in 5 different colors: blue, cyan, red, purple and black. The Surface Pen can be found beside the Type Cover. It has an aluminum finish and a clicker at the top. Its weight and design gives you the feeling of holding a pen. It is powered by N-trig and uses Bluetooth to track closer to its physical location. One hitch with this device is its moderate battery life. The device can sometimes get hot as well. Apart from that it has an excellent display and design and is an excellent choice. This is a premium product that deserves applause.

Surface Pro 3 has a 12-inch ClearType Full HD display, 4th-generation Intel® Core™ processor and up to 8 GB of RAM. With up to nine hours of Web-browsing battery life, Surface Pro 3 has all the power, performance and mobility of a laptop in an incredibly lightweight, versatile form.

Surface Pro 3 and Surface accessories

Surface Pro 3 features a 12-inch full HD display, 4th-generation Intel® Core™ processor options, amazing click-in keyboards, and a multiposition kickstand that goes from movie mode to working mode and all the way to writing mode. Because it runs Windows 8.1 Pro, people can run the desktop software they rely on, including Microsoft Office, multitask with side-by-side windows, and use it at work. Surface Pro 3 delivers the best writing and drawing experience with Surface Pen included and an amazing new capability where with just a click of the pen, Surface launches a fresh page in OneNote, so you can capture your thoughts immediately — as quickly as a pen and piece of paper. And it delivers big-screen entertainment anywhere with the larger, full HD screen, the kickstand, great speakers with Dolby® Audio enhanced sound, and up to nine hours of Web-browsing battery life.

New Surface accessories like the improved Surface Pro Type Cover will take Surface Pro 3 from tablet to laptop in a snap. The new premium Surface Pen with pressure sensitivity enables a more natural writing experience, while a full-size USB 3.0 port, microSD card reader and Mini DisplayPort allow for quick file transfers and easy connections to a range of peripherals.

Motorola Moto 360 review

Motorola Moto 360

In the matter of looks, Moto 360 stands on top being the only circular smartwatch, outclassing everything else in the market. The stylish looks, the premium build and the comfy levels make it the best Android watch.

Keeping the looks aside, it offers many of the same features as those in its competition, that include a heart rate sensor, pedometer and other goodies like wireless charging, water resistance and an ambient light sensor.

It has a 1.56 inch round LCD display with Gorilla Glass 3, the IPS panel is good and it lights up every time you turn your wrist around to look at your watch. The brushed metal finish with leather strap looks attractive. One long press on the button at the sides will give you access to all the features. And all your notifications pop up on your watch immediately when you pair it up with your Android 4.3 or 4.4 smartphone.

It also lets you receive calls, but the only drawback is that you will have to take the phone out of your pocket to receive the call. The only challenge here is responding to the SMSs and email via voice recognition, that almost failed in recognizing the voice. But using google maps on the small screen is very much convenient while travelling. Moto 360, sadly, does not have an all-day battery life if used to full capabilities. The average period id only 14-15 hours

If you really want a smart watch this one’s the best in the market today. This is fun to use but Rs.17, 999 is a bit too much to spend on a gadget that is now evolving.

Moto 360 was designed to be timeless—and that goes for our software, too!

  • Smart Battery Saving – When your battery hits 15%, your Moto 360 will turn off ambient mode, so you don’t have to remember to.

  • Timely Time Checks – Moto 360 will synchronize the time with your phone more often to make sure it is up to the minute.

  • User Interface Tweaks – We observed with consumers that there are many times where you want to use your Moto 360 as truly a classic watch—a beautiful way to see the time. A new gesture now lets you see the full watch face without permanently dismissing a notification. Just touch the top of a notification and swipe down. You’ll see the notification again when you have another high priority notification.

  • Mood Lighting – Moto 360 will adjust to the lighting of the room while charging, so that it isn’t too bright or too dark.

  • Readying the wires for Bluetooth - There are a couple of under-the-hood enhancements that will pave the way for connecting Bluetooth headsets to the watch.

  • Bug Squashing - As usual, bugs are squashed to enhance the overall user experience.

We will roll out the new software in phases. Look for the update notification on your watch! You will be prompted to install. To install the update, make sure that you’re connected to your phone with an internet connection and that your watch has at least 80% battery.

SONY XPERIA Z3 COMPACT

SONY XPERIA Z3 COMPACT

True to its name, Sony Xperia Z3 Compact is a miniaturized version of its predecessor. Thanks to Sony for shrinking the set once again after the flagship Sony Xperia Z1 Compact, which was loved by all. Who said smaller smart phones do not come with high-end specs? Take a look at this one.

It is a dust-proof and water resistant phone that is about 8.6mm slim and weighs 129g. The front is occupied by the much-improved 4.6inch display and stereo speakers the phone looks well-built and stylish. With 2.5GHz quad core Snapdragon 801 processor and 2GB RAM, the performance of Z3 Compact is pretty impressive. The primary camera is a carbon copy of Z3 (20.7MP sensor), which produces stunning images. Plus, there’s excellent 4K video.

One best feature is the design of the phone, especially if you are a person who likes alternative colors like green or red. The finish is translucent and gorgeous, which actually gives you a premium feel.

One of the compromises made here on this one is that it is not full HD offering. But there are a very few flaws, the screen aside, and this piece could even rival its big brother. Thanks to the lower price tag! Another fact it’s rolling with is the PS4 compatibility that lets you control your PlayStation 4 as a secondary screen, within the same wireless network. The phone with 2600mAh battery passes the battery test too.

Sony looks like a neat winner here with this more powerful and better built model.

AMAZON FIRE PHONE REVIEW

Amazon Fire Phone

Amazon’s fire phone might not be a hit, but it is definitely a decent smart phone. There are a certain unique features that hamper the battery life and performance. The offerings include 3D head-tracking, product scanning and fast help from customer service agents.

The Fire phone is ideal for single-handed use with a manageable 4.7 inches 720p LCD panel and sides that are easy to grip. The front have five lenses – a Kinect-like sensor on each corner and a front cam. The biggest disappointment is the AT&T agreement and that the phone is locked to only AT&T SIM cards. So if you travel internationally occasionally, you might not want the Fire phone.

Amazon-Fire-Phone-1

The Kinect-like sensors detect your head’s position and the distance and automatically adjusts the field of view on your display, the way you’d actually see things in real life. Dynamic perspective is used in games, lock screens and maps and it works well. Another feature is the Firefly that scans the details of anything that is pointed to by the camera. Point the camera at a phone number, email ID, website or a barcode, and the bubbles will congregate over relevant information and a picture is clicked before the scan happens. One brilliant feature is the Mayday that helps you connect with knowledgeable tech advisors in less than 15 seconds.

Since Fire OS is based on Android, you can side load apps as long as you know how to get them. Otherwise, it is all about Amazon. The Fire phone is designed to make it easier to get more stuff from Amazon.
