Jaguar F-Type Coupe Unveiled
The Jaguar F-Type Coupe is the car that Jaguar promises to be their best so far. The new model was recently unveiled at a glittering event in LA at a remarkably low price of £85,000. It boasts a 550bhp, with the all new ‘nifty brake’ technology. The starting price of an F-Type Coupe is about £51,235, and goes all the way up to £85,000. Jaguar plans to start delivering the coupe in early 2014, so customers are advised to start booking immediately without further delay.
Aesthetically the convertible is very generic and slightly bland although it sports attractive rear lights. The trailing edge of the car hinges at the top, unlike the C-X16 Concept. The most appealing point remains the pricing, as compared to the very similar V6-engined convertibles, it costs much less. On the negative side, the car disappoints with the lack of available boot space.
Its smart ‘Torque Vectoring’ applies brakes automatically if it assesses that the car is over speeding. This is the second generation version of Jaguar’s electronic ‘Active Differential’ which analyses road conditions to adjust torque for each wheel.
This Jaguar has a lightweight aluminium body that helps in keeping its weight down. It is a tough car having rigidity of about 33,000 Nm per degree.
Some of the noted cabin features include:
- A touchscreen navigation system
- Bluetooth connectivity
- Option for an active exhaust
- Superb sound system from Meridian
It can rightly be said that the new Jaguar F-Type Coupe is an amazing combination of good looks and high-end technology.
