HTC can breathe a huge sigh of relief. You may recall that they were recently served with an injunction due to some of their phones containing technologies that infringed on Nokia’s patent – in particular the HTC One series.
Fortunately this afternoon the Court of Appeals granted a stay on this injunction. HTC immediately released a statement saying, ”HTC is delighted that the Court of Appeals has granted a stay on the injunction against our products. We will immediately resume shipment of all of our devices into the UK, including the entire HTC One family. Similarly, our customers should feel confident in their ability to promote and sell all HTC devices. Even though we plan to aggressively appeal the validity decision of Nokia’s EP 0 998 024 patent, we will continue to work with our chip suppliers on alternative solutions to ensure minimal disruption to our business in the future”.

After almost losing it all out in the mobile phone market, Nokia is back with a bang, with its latest offering, Nokia 2520 tablet.
This Windows RT 8.1 powered device, will impress you, as soon as you put your eyes over it. The tab continues Lumia’s superb designing legacy.
On the exterior, the tab boasts a micro-HDMI and a USB 3.0 port. Apart from that, the speakers have been embedded in the rear. Although it does give the overall look an advantage, but the sound gets depleted.
After the design, it’s the screen that’ll attract you. 2520’s screen has a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, which looks stunning on a 10.1 inch screen. With Clearback Technology, the screen has been designed to provide you with a perfect and crisp display, even in broad daylight. It does means that the brightness of the device will remain at an all time high in daylight, but if Nokia’s to be believed, their latest customized firmware, intelligently controls the brightness, giving you a battery life of around 11-hours, at maximum brightness.
On the performance front, the tablet is powered by Qualcomm 8974 chipset running at 2.3GHz, packed with 2GB of RAM, making the already butter smooth experience of WP 8, even more delightful.
The connectivity features include:
4G LTE
NFC
Wi-Fi Direct
Thus, the phone remains future proof!
The tab has a 6.7-megapixel Nokia PureView rear, and a 2MP front cam. The quality of the pictures is pretty decent.
2520’s “Power keyboard” accessory provides you with a physical keyboard, meanwhile extending the battery backup of the device by 5 hours!
The successful Lumia series is back with a new lineup of two phablets, Lumia 1520 and Lumia 1320. This is the first time Nokia has come up with phablets.
Lumia 1320 manages to pack a 6-inch 720p IPS Clearback display, and is powered by a dual-core 1.7 Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon. It runs the latest windows phone 8 operating system, and with 1GB of RAM, multi tasking becomes a piece of cake. Apart from that, Lumia 1320 has an 8GB of internal memory.
The 5.0 MP camera in this phablet is, as expected from the Lumia series, good. The Lumia 1320, bundled with a 3400mAh battery, represents the best deal of the bunch.
The Lumia 1520 is Nokia’s high-end “phablet” and a powerhouse of productivity, featuring a six inch 1080p display, and a qualcomm snapdragon 800 2.2 GHz Quad-core CPU powering it. The Lumia 1520 is Nokia’s first update 3 device featuring the Lumia “Black” firmware, a rolling cover and a 20 MP camera with a F/2.0 lens which gives you a clear shot. The device also has a 32 GB of internal storage, expandable to 64GB, which will give you enough space. Aa 2 GB of RAM, making multi-tasking an easy affair. Also, the 1520 has a massive 3400 mAh battery.
Compared to Lumias, the 1520 has 4 high-amplitude audio capture (HAAC) microphones on board to give it excellent audio fidelity, on calls and while recording videos. Lumia 1520 also features a new refocus lens and several productivity apps from NOKIA.
It is available in 4 colours including yellow, white, black and glossy red.
The kicker is that both 1520 and 1320 both support 4G LTE and HSPA+ connectivity. And both of have NFC and DLNA which will make sharing fun.
