LinkedIn unveils Recruiter Mobile app
Recently LinkedIn launched their own mobile application to their 238 million members. The app is called, the LinkedIn Recruiter Mobile. Using this app the recruiters are able to provide feedback or respond to any queries by phone, text, email or by using the built-in messaging system.
Earlier LinkedIn made waves by releasing the Pulse, a mobile news reader. But with the Recruiter Mobile app it took LinkedIn usage to a whole new level.
According to Parker Barrile, the senior director of product at LinkedIn, about 33 percent of the LinkedIn members access their website using mobile alone and more than 30 percent of job views are also coming from mobile. Currently you can download the Recruiter Mobile app for iOS only. And in order to install the app you have to use your e-mail, and phone to start using the app.
Popular social networking sites liked Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat made the social networks even more popular and convenient for its users. So, the LinkedIn Mobile Recruiter app will no doubt have a positive impact on this website overall.
Some of the instant benefits of having an app is to quickly find and connect users from your existing contacts, uploading or making quick edits, changes and get notifications as soon as someone tries to connect with you. These features are certainly achievable using the web or a tablet but a smart-phone app makes them very convenient.
Do you think this app will make a difference? Would you start using LinkedIn even more because of the app?
