OnBeat Headphone review by PING Magazine

Recently a British start up company unveiled a special type of headphone called the, OnBeat. What is so special about onBeat? Unlike traditional headphones onBeat allows you to store enough charge so later you can use the same headphone to charge your phone. Not only that but the headphone also have 55cm2 solar paneling!

According to the lead designer Samuel Jones, the headphone consists of 1200 mAh battery in each earcup. The total charges add up to 2400mAh! With so much charge available to you, you can charge your smart-phone very easily. The solar paneling allows you to automatically charge your headphone automatically. Or if you have to then you may use a microUSB port to charge your headphone as well.

The designers of this headphone are also planning to add other high tech features to the headphone. For example, better noise canceling, blue-tooth capabilities and other options that you usually see on most headphones nowadays. Currently the headphone is in prototype stage and going through rigorous testing and redesign. So, it is still not clear when exactly this headphone will be available to the general public.

There is a rumor that this headphone will be priced around 100 pounds. Which equivalent to $136 USD! And might be available around February 2014!

What do you think about onBeat? Will it revolutionize the headphone industry or it will be rejected by the consumers?
